Fibrous Mass Just took Biggie Smalls to the vet because he has had a lump under his armpit for a couple of weeks now. He has had bumps before (just a couple of months ago) that the vet said were allergic reactions so I assumed this one was the same thing. Vet aspirated the lump and said it is a benign Fibrous Mass. Anyone else's dog have a fibrous mass? Vet said it is no harm to him. She said it will likely not go away but to just keep an eye on it. I worry though I am a breast cancer survivor and lumps of any kind scare me. |
I thought I would tell you experience with a mass. One of my Champions had a mass show up under his are in less then 2 weeks time. We choose to remove it and have a biopsy done and he has Fribroscarcoma. I have been in yorkies for 30 yrs and just when you think you have seen it all and had it all someone will surprise you with something new. Fibroscarcoma is more common in cats and in cats it is associated with over-vaccinating. Needless to say I was not as lucky as you,Casper had |
