Help Please. Baby with redness on the ears! :( Hi everyone...Please help...My baby had a dandruff problem, she's getting better now...but today i've notice that she has some redness (pink) on her ears...I've cleaned them with normal saline on the outside...please help... Is it possible for her to be allergic to something? My cat is fine! if it was a fungal infection he would be sick too, right? Ringworm...neither I or the cat have any signs... I'm going to the vet tomorrow...but i'm in panic! Please tell me what to do...She isnt sad...she's playfull and eating well...her poo is solid and doesnt smell... |
Could it be a yeast infection? Is there any odor to the ears? |
Sometimes just cleaning the ears can make them pink, at least I've noticed this on my dogs. As long as she's acting normal, not scratching her ears, eating, drinking and playing, and no odor coming from her ears, probably nothing wrong. If you still have concerns, your vet should include checking her ears as a part of her exam. Mention any concerns your have at that time. Good luck with her vet visit! Let us know how she does! |
Thing is, it could be a yeast infection w/o the odor. Ella had a yeast infection a few months ago & there was no bad smell but the vet wrote it off as that and we got meds and it cleared right up. So deff. check w/ your vet b/c most likely that's what it is. =] |
Hi ella. I've used a bepanthen and it seemed to help...Do you think that it can be related with the dandruff problem, also? She's being treated with an antifungal shampoo, yesterday night i've read that one of the possible secundary effect of the shampoo is that it may cause some redness... Can I have your oppinion on if I should wait 3 days and see if it goes away? She's eating well and i've noticed no smell in her ears... Could it be related to the weather? 41ºcelsius in portugal (Lisbon) for the last 3 days... |
