My Pebbles has a sore on her face!! Help!! 4 Attachment(s) While giving Pebbles a bath today I noticed she had an almond size scabby thing on her face. She gets alot of "eye gunkies" so I was cleaning them off before I put her in the sink. Well thankfully she let me run the warm water on the sore and it had greenish pus underneath. I got the scabby thing of gently and cleaned her off. I put an antiseptic on it and put her in an e-collar. Is she going to be OK ??? What is it??? |
I don't have a clue. Does it itch? Hopefully some will know what it is. Poor thing:( |
No doesn't itch at all. It breaks my heart that she had this and I didn't know it. I'm so glad I decided to wash them today. She looks so pityful in her collar :( |
Poor baby. I would get her to the vet to check it out. One of my yorkies had an abscessed tooth and the infection came through in the same area. Hope it is just a sore that will clear soon but I would have the vet take a look. |
Maybe she scratched her face and it got infected. |
It doesn't seem to bother her at all. She is eating fine, so I don't know about a tooth issue. I just don't know |
That looks bad. I totally agree have her see a vet. It is most likely infected as you said greenish pus, and she will need an antibiotic. Poor baby. |

more info Your Pet's Best Friend - Carnassial Tooth Abscess I have dealt with a lot of skin infections and never seen anything like his so my guess is abssessed tooth for sure :( |
|
Oh man, that is awful. If it is a tooth abscess, it can be very dangerous, see your vet asap. Looks painful as well. |
Oh Yes, That's most likely an abscessed tooth. Ouch ! |
certainly looks like an abscessed tooth to me too... we had the same thing here and it was quite shocking to see, I ran him right to the e-vet. He was on antibiotics for a week, then he had the surgery to remove the tooth and clean out the inside, then 2 weeks on soft food and he was back to his old self again! |
