| bertiepup | 06-19-2010 12:22 PM | I don't know what happened and I am devastated:((( We were out in the park playing and running and just enjoying the two of us, no one else was anywhere within sight and it was an open grass area where we always go and Bertie loves it there, its just behind our house. Anyway he was running for his ball about 15 feet ahead of me and suddenly for no reason visible to me he started shrieking and going crazy as though something had attacked him, I frooze at what I was seeing because they was nothing there it was clean open flat grassland and just the two of us. I don't want to go into the whole settling down saga, looking around for anything in the grass, getting back home, he was shaking for an hour or so afterward. It has been a few hours but he did gobble down his food as usual. I did check him on his underside coz at first that seemed to be what was causing him some pain. But then not really. I checked if he got stung either by a bee (there are some around), stinging nettles, I don't know would they cause this reaction. I don't know, I was watching him just before it happened and I was close enough to have seen anything from above, now below who knows. But even now 4-5 hours later i chck him below and he is fine, a little tense and not his usual playful cuddly self. Also he seems lethargic and dis interested. As I said he did it, he walked a little bit out in the garden with me but was enthusiatic about it. Thought about coming onto the grass but came willingly albeit delayed and then was fine. But he is still not himself. Right now he is under my desk in his bed sleeping; I got up to go to the kitchen a few minutes ago and opened the back door and he would always DART from wherever he is at whtever time when he heard the back door open and he didn't come. I left the door open and went out and waited and nothing. I came back in and he is still in his bed sleeping but is aware of his surroundings. But usually if I left the room and came back he would try and come up onto my lap he would move at my feet, start playing with his toys. Obviously I know it is not me but whatever happened to him out on the grass this split second has changed my Bertie and I am worried...and sad and don't know what to do. He can walk, run and paly and eat all normally I have tested him gradually but he is just not himself HELP PLEASE |
