Sad day from doctor = 8 year old with Tumor in mouth Can anyone give me any advise. I carried my Yorkie to the vet this morning. She had 2 teeth that was about to fall out for a while. This past weekend I noticed that the teeth were gone and it looked like her gum was swelled up as long as the teeth were. I showed it to my stepson yesterday and he told me she needed to go to the vet. I carried her this morning and was told she had a tumor. it is attached to the roof of her mouth and is coming out where her 2 teeth use to be. He has to send it to pathology. He told me he did not know if it was benigne or malignant. I came home very upset. She is my baby and has been for 8 years. |

Welcome to YT. I know that there is a member who had the same thing with her little rescue Gizmo. The tumor was removed once and it grew back. Let me see if I can PM her, maybe she can give you more information about what was done when it happened to her little guy. I'm so sorry that your little girl is sick :( |
I hope the Vet can remove the tumor for you and it comes back benign. |
I am so sorry and I am praying that it can be removed and that it is not cancerous. |
Barbara: I hope the tumor turns out to be benign, but if not, there is still reason to be hopeful for your girl. My family had a terrier with a sizable cancerous mouth/throat tumor. The surgeon removed the tumor and she lived a full life. |
I'm so sorry your baby and you are going through this. I pray that it's nothing serious and that it can be removed safely. |
Welcome to YT. We're all saying a prayer for you and your kiddo. |
I'm so sorry to hear about your little girl. Did your vet remove the tumor and send it in? I'm sure you are frightened for your baby, but hopefully everything will turn out okay. |
