Male Yorkie walking and looking sideways. Please help. Hello everyone: I am new to site. I found this website as I franticly look for an answer to my baby. I have a male and female yorkie but my male seems to be sick. He is walking sideways. For no reason from one day to another, his head is slanted over he can't eat from the bowl. He is 2 and has been healthy until now. I am very nervous don't know what it can be and I thought it would get better as this is the first day but I am so scared what should I do. Please help thank you so much. xoxo |
He needs to be seen by a vet. No one can diagnose your baby online. Please take him to see a vet ASAP! |
Oh my goodness :(...please get to a vet asap. When you say "from one day to another" - do you mean this comes and goes? He may also need to see a Neurologist right away. Has he had any falls? Is there pain? |
He definitely needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. This could be anything from an ear infection (if severe, they do walk with one ear all the way to the ground) to a neurological condition. Only a vet will be able to examine him and determine what is going on. Good luck and please keep us posted on him! |
Just as others have said go to vet and if vet cannot figure this out immediately get to neurologist immediately. This could be serious so I would not wait around on this one. There are things like inner ear infection, inflammation on spinal cord (gme), AAI with the neck situation (was there a fall), liver issue. So many things can go wrong but neck pain is nothing to mess around with this breed - Please keep us updated If it were me I would go to neurologist myself to have xray done as if neck is like that then it is very important that when xray is done it is done correctly or can cause more problems so you really need someone who knows how to xray in case AAI. One wrong move on that can be fatal - sorry to scare you but the neck is of great concern and if this happened from a fall then more reason to be of concern for aai |
