Thank you for updating us.....we will keep Patti & Pixie in our thoughts/prayers. |
Praying for Pixie and Patti. Pixie's sister Daisy was recently diagnosed with Lyme, and they live in Lyme central. Could it possibly cause these extreme symptoms? |
I am praying. Hope we will hear an update soon. |

Oh my, praying for Pixie and special thoughts & support for Patti. |
I hope Pixie is alright!......poor Patti must be so upset!.....Maximo, that was so wonderful for you to have remembered that, it could be an important clue.....But I hope it isn't that....... I'll be watching for an update and wishing all is well....... |
i hope pixie is ok too. sending positive energy and lots of hugs to pixie and patti. |
Thinking good thoughts and sending prayers to Patti and Pixie...keep us posted. |
I'm talking to Patti now. It sounds like the ER Doctor doesn't really know what he's doing. He told her Pixie has LP. Good grief...dogs don't fall over with LP. He gave her pain medicine, but did no xrays or anything to look for the cause of her pain. Patti is scared...Pixie is not at all herself and not very reponsive. She is panting and shaking, which is a sign of pain, and that vet says LP? Patti is thinking she will call to find out when a new ER vet comes on duty and then take Pixie in. I still wonder if it's something with a disc in her back. Patti will be on soon. |

Thanks everyone. I can barely type this as I am so upset. Pixie looks terrible, panting, I have never seen Pixie pant, she just has a weird look on her face and I don't remember my vet ever saying she had LP. They gave her an injection and tramedol and metcam to take tomorrow. The er vet was new and I just kept asking him why she looked so weird, could it be neurological or something. Cali has grade 4 LP in both knees and has never been like this. I just don't know what to do? I just felt her left back leg and it seems like it is out of the socket or something. Does anybody know if LP could come on so fast and it won't go back in? Will an Xray show LP, or a torn ACL? I know I should know this but I can't think straight. She has stopped panting at least. I just don't know if I should I go back and get Xrays but I don't have any faith in this ER vet. Any thoughts would be appreciated |
