Thanks for the update. :) He's such a strong little guy. Keep up the good work, Max. |
It's amazing how well they do after such drastic surgery. One of my pups was tossed out the driver's side window into rush hour, on-coming traffic. She suffered radial nerve paralysis, among other things. She was only 4 or 5 weeks old, and the whole litter was dispatched this way. She was the only one to survive. She lost her front right leg and had a hysterectomy (spay) all at the same time. I was worried sick about her ... she had to spend the night. I called all night long to check on her. The next morning, they put her on the floor and she RAN to me, full tilt boogey! I could barely move after MY hysterectomy, and here she was runnin' :D . Katie never even realized she was missing a leg; it never hindered her one little bit, except when she jumped to the furniture, she had to jump a little higher so her hind feet landed on the seat (because she couldn't pull herself up). You could see the little wheels turning in her mind as she calculated the distance. Max will do well. All he needs is a little love, and I'm sure he'll get it. |
I'm just now seeing this thread, and I'm so glad Max's surgery went well. How is he doing now? Sending thoughts and prayers to him and his foster family. |
I have been following Max's story on FB and it is so heartwarming...he really is a wonderful guy and once healed will be a fabulous dog. Thanks OR for saving this little guys life and stopping the pain.. |
Poor Sweet baby :( |
Will keep Max in my prayers This story about Max is so tragic and thank God for rescues. As a rescue and yorkie foster mommy we see such horrific treatment of animals. I think some of these owners themselves should be put to sleep!! If it is any consulation my roommate has a 3 legged rescue dog and he gets along fine. He runs in the backyard with my yorkies and you would never guess he was handicapped at all! I will absolutely love to send prayers for Max and look forward to hearing of his progress and recovery with a loving foster mom. Foster Mommy to Chance:animal36 and Rocco:animal36 |
I am just seeing this thread. That poor little angel...thank God you all got him and he is being cared for. I am sure he will do just fine! I had one yorkie who lost one of his legs and he ended up being such a little trooper! I will pray for little Max and look forward to updates on him! Thank you so much for saving him! :) |
