do you have a pack and play or dog stroller so you can move her from room to room with you as that will help as read about others that had this surgery and they did this and it helped alot. |
Glad to hear the GOOD NEWS!!! Which hospital/vet did the surgery?? |

VERG Brooklyn Thanks! He is excellent and spent almost an hour with us during the consultation. He explained everything with knee-models, and hand drawings and had a good sense of humor, which helps a little :D He called us personally as she was waking up and explained what would happen over the next 18 hours. He will also call us in the a.m. to confirm us picking her up. Best part about VERG is that a DVM is there all night, since it's a 24/7 emergency hospital. Very reassuring. |

We have a few good options. Either her round bed, one of her 2x3 alternative beds (she has 3!) or whatever she can most comfortably move/stay in. We will have to see what the princess will tolerate. :) |
UPDATE: Priscilla is home & ate a bowl of food within 1 minute of arriving. She is understandably exhausted but she was well cared for. She is allowed to walk around but no jumping or stairs and she has to wear the E-collar when we can't supervise her - she has eleven stitches - they will lick the wound or even gnaw at the stitches if given the chance. 10 days she gets her stitches out. Then she will begin rehab - using it as much as she can handle every day. Will update & thanks to all! |

So happy to hear this!!! Does she have a bandage on? |
Oh sorry to hear that.....my 9 yr old yorkie is just about 5 1/2 weeks out of ACL/slight patella reconstruction! It's been a long process and will get to start his 6 wks of physical therapy this week! Good luck....go with ur gut feeling! The surgeon I had made me feel very comfortable and explained everyhing...and told me his reasonings behind everything and first and foremost I felt tht he treated my baby like he was the most important thing at the time! |
