Yorkie - Yellow clumps in waste (picutre attached) 1 Attachment(s) My Toby today had yellow clumps in his waste? Is this maybe from him eating something wierd? Or is this something I should take to the vet? thanks, Joe |
Looks like mucus maybe . . .did he get into something that could of caused his tummy to get sick? Has he ever had a fecal test done by the vet? If he has normal poo daily, it could be that he ate something that made him sick. |
My baby has mucous on her stools at times. It is very slimy and thick. The vet gave me some medicine to help her. She likes to eat weeds when she goes outside and it's hard to stop her from doing this. I know when I have given her some human food, it can cause digestive tract problems. The vet said her intestines are irritated when this happens. I would call my vet if I were you and see what help they can offer. Also, take a sample of the stool and mucous to him in a baggie. |
I was thinking that also, that he could of ate something on the floor that wasn't suppose to be there. He has not had a fecal test yet and his waste has been normal. Another question,we took him for his first checkup like two weeks ago and they said he was fine but he had an ear infection so we got medication for that. We took him to the vet at Petco and they recommend all sorts of test and medicine for him, I was not sure if he was just trying to get us to spend a lot of money or if it is normal to get a bunch of test done even though he said he was healthy? thanks for your insight and responses. |
I have never taken mine to the vet at PetSmart or Petco, but I think I've read other posts that say this is not uncommon. It may be wise to take to a private vet??? I, myself, would question all of the tests, especially if I just brought my pet in for an ear infection. Just my opinion. |
Sometimes mine poop like that but it's due to the coloring used in the food or treats. Warning: don't feed red treats... can be very scary! JK:D |
