I know now that you dont aways need to get your dog vacs done every year if there antibodies is ok. But was wondering when i get this puppy what vacs to get because i dont want my yorkie to have all of theses injection if its going to causes problems later on down the line when she gets older. Initially the puppy will need a set of vaccinations to start his immunities. They usually start them at 8-9 weeks old and have another 3 weeks later, then 3 weeks after that.. and the last 3 weeks after that one.. These should be the DHPP.. some give Lepto.. but I don't recommend it.. nor does my vet... a week after the last set of puppy shots they are usually old enough for the rabies vaccine. The rabies vaccine will be good for one year . Where I am located... after one year.. they receive a 3 year rabies vaccine. |
