Enough already! I took Tucker to the vet yesterday after he has been refusing to eat and has had some throwing up. They did a complete blood test thinking that it might be pancreatitis but that came back negative. The rest of the counts looked good she said. She gave him a shot for throwing up and Metronidazole and said if he doesn't seem better in a day or two to bring him back in. Now last night Gracie my new puppy started having diarehea hopefully just something that she ate. I've also had Maggie to the vet twice this month for ear infection and an eye infection. I just want them to all feel good. I did get Tucker to eat a little chicken last night but he just isn't to excited about it. Hopefully it isn't anything to much I lost my last dog in July and he started with the same symtoms. It's scary when they don't feel well. |
I am so sorry you and your babies are going through this. I hope you and the vet can figure out what is going on. |
so sorry that your babies aren't feeling well! At least they have the best care possible and a mom who loves them enough to get to the bottom of things! Keep us posted on how they are doing! Hope today is a better day! |
I hope they all feel better soon. I know how stressful it is when they dont feel well. We worry and fret just like we do with kids. |
It could be a bug going around if both of them are having diarrhea or they both ate something they shouldn't have?? Hope they're feeling better real soon. Keep us posted |

Sorry to hear about your babies hope they feel better soon. |
When Magnus was sick, the vet gave me several small packages that contained powdered supplement. She said it adds nutrition or something like that. Magnus usually doesn't enjoy the rice as much but when I mixed in the powder, he gobbled it up. I pretty sure it was the smell that got him really interested. I think I have couple packages left so if you'd like, I'll find it and get you the name. I hope both your furballs get better soon. |
Is there anything that could be considered toxic in their environment? Was the vet able to determine the reason your last dog passed? Things like scented candles, plug-ins airfresheners can be toxic. New rugs contain chemicals that can be harmful to pets that are sensitive. Plastic food and water bowls can leach chemicals into the food and water. Stainless steel and ceramic (non leaded glazing) are safest. What were they eating prior to becoming ill? Type and brand of regular food? Does it contain any fish meal as one of first 5 ingredients? |
