Very sad, Oscar's not getting better. I'm just really sad. My poor baby is not getting better. He started with a tiny hole in the roof of his mouth. The vet put him on a steroid and it seemed to get better, but it has slowly progressed to become two larger holes. It is almost as if he has a cleft palate. He is sneezing constantly. I am taking him back to the vet on Monday and I'm afraid of what they will tell me. Does anyone know if there is any kind of surgery to help. I'm just afraid I'll have to make the decision on Monday whether to put him to sleep or not. He also has digestive problems and he has to wear diapers cause he leaks poop. Am I being selfish keeping him alive? Is he suffering? This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. |
This is so sad! How old is your baby? I really don't know what advice to offer. You have to do what you feel in your heart is right for your puppy. Is there no help for him at all. I have never heard of this , sorry I wish I could help you. Good Luck. |

this has to be so upsetting....but I would def find out from the vet what your options are. ALL THE BEST to you |
I don't have any answers about your little ones health issues, just wanted to send you my thoughts and prayers that something can be done to help your little baby. |
I'm sorry, I have not experience in this either. Hoping that someone who may know more about this sees this. Sending you hugs and prayers. B |

Very sorry - I know what you are going through - they are our babies - I had to make that decision last year with my Toffee - she was 15-1/2 but that did not make it any easier - I still think of her and feel very sad.....:( |
I am so very sorry about Oscar being ill. Just wanted to add that my little girl also has Vasculitis, but she is in remission right now. She had to take a ton of prednisone and it sounds like your Oscar is taking this too. Sending positive thoughts and hugs your way.... |
It's so hard. He gives me glimmers of hope when he will run to the door to see who is there or beg for our food. But the rest of the time he just lays around and he won't eat his food and anything he does eat goes right thru him. I tried to walk him and he was barely moving. He seems like he is wasting away. His poop was bloody today and really runny. I wish I had a magic cure :cry::cry: |
