Has anyone taken their yorkie to uc davis vet?? This is my second time taking my lil yorkie (Rowdy) to UC Davis Vet. I would like to know some feedback. His next appt. is for a technetium scan. Is this scan safe??? The Vet told me he will need to stay over night!! |
We have never taken our yorkies to UCD but we did take our cat. The cat ended up losing his back leg and the staff did a most amazing job at keeping him alive. They are very talented and he ONLY lost his leg and not his life! I dont know anything about the scan but the vets and vet techs were AWESOME!!! |
I have never used them but they have an excellent reputation. |

Ive not taken any dog there, but my mom's great dane had heart worms really bad. This was years ago, but she came to my mom already infected. The vet thought she would die for sure and suggested UCD. She had to stay there almost two weeks for the treatments, but they pulled her though! |

The test is to see if he has a liver shunt. |

It is similar to an xray, so my guess is that there is similar risk involved. I've never heard of a problem with this. What symptoms is your pup having? If the BAT is over 100, it is probably time to do further testing, especially if this is a young dog. They are up that high for a reason... |
