Gurgling, gurgling, gurgling! Hi everyone. I am so excited to be here. I have a little Morkie, but I can tell looking at her she has lots of Yorkie in here. I woke up this a.m. to the LOUDEST noises - her tummy was gurgling like I've NEVER heard before. She is about five months old. I called the vet right away, panicking, but they weren't open yet so I googled and found this forum. Imagine my surprise to see it is not uncommon for this! My little girl eats Wellness Puppy Food and I am VERY careful not to give her anything commercial - BUT yesterday the lady at Petco talked me into trying a Kong with some Chicken Liver stuff that you squirt in there - I am thinking it caused the problem. I tossed it right away. Question - after reading everything, should I pull her dry food too and just do the nutra cal..for a day? Then do the rice, etc.?? Any input would be GREAT. Thanks and God Bless. |
i would not pull up food for gurgling just do not give that stuff anymore that you tossed |
I wouldn't pull her food. Welcome to YT and congratulations on your little furbaby. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. |
I would not pull her food up either since she is a puppy and needs to eat, if you think she has a sensitive stomach today you could always boil some boneless skinless chicken and rice, just to be on the safe side. If you want her to chew maybe try a bullystick instead of the kong filled stuff, that made my puppy sick to and I have never used it since. Hope that helps!:) |
My baby's have hours in day where their tummies do that, just like you or I its digesting. Sometimes its louder than others. Maybe the Kong stuff upset her tummy a bit, but I think it's pretty normal to have loud digestions once in awhile. One time I had it happen to me the same time as my baby had it happening to him... we were looking at each other like "Who was that??" LOL |
Thanks guys you gave the same advise a vet did - I'm that type of "mommy" if I don't know what is going on, I am right away at the dr. I get kind of paranoid... Anyways, you both told me the same thing, so PHEW..what a relief - I'm going to keep feeding her the Wellness Puppy Food and I got rid of the Kong treats..NO MORE! She is SO PRECIOUS. Sweet little girl. She pooped and peed and ate a little and she's running around playing, so I am relieved. Boy is she a tender little thing - I just love her! |
