Injured yorkie, help. Today my sister's yorkie (Ella's dad) was running around playing and ran into a nail that was sticking out of the wall, b/c their idiot of a landlord doesn't fix things, and he has a gash on his side. It's not deep just kind of an open wound. Well thing is she doesn't have the money to pay a large vet bill and i don't know if he'll get any treatment. She's going to wait until tomorrow to call my vet and check out prices b/c the local animal er charged 80 dollars for a visit instead of 40 and charged out the butt for stitches (if needed). What if she can't take him to the vet? Will he be okay? I am so worried. I can't stop thinking about him. She tells me he's eating, drinking and using the bathroom normally, but i just don't know. Any advice is welcome. -Dolly |
It could get infected and he could get sick and die. He probably needs to be on antibiotics. Can you lend her money? Or call the humane society un your area then may have cheaper vet prices. I would not do nothing though, he should see a vet |
i say go to vet and take it OFF THE RENT for the landlord not fixing this - does she have CareCredit Healthcare Finance - Payment Plans and Financing for Cosmetic Surgery, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Veterinary & Other Medical Procedures as she can get it if credit ok in a few minutes on the internet - we have it for emergencies put this in sick and injured section as more may see and help out too :) |
No she doesn't have anything. I told her the landlord should be paying for this. It's a really bad situation. I was in a rush and put it in the first section i came too. I didn't even think to put it there. =] Quote:

I really thought about just paying for her. See she's just 15, and can't pay me back. My sister lives w/ our father who's a crook and will not pay anything back to anyone so we can't depend on him to pay. It will be forever loan. I am going to call the vet i take Ella to and get some prices tomorrow. Most likely i'll be taking the bill home w/ me. Quote:

Oh the best thing to do is get that furbaby checked out... you dont want it to gt infected then that will make him sick... these lil furbabies do cost alot when it comes to the vet bills but I would sacrifice anything just to keep my lil guy alive and healthy.... |
