My baby got a rabies shot and now he is in pain and wont or cant walk on his foot. He got the shot Thursday and this is Sat. Shouldn't he be better by now? Should I take him to the vet? He is 4 yrs old and never had this happen before. |
I would def. call the Vet and get him back in there. |
Whether or not it's a reaction to the rabies vaccine or something else going on, sounds like he needs to see a vet. |
Thank you for your quick replies. |
Good news! He gave him something for pain and he seems to be fine now |
That's good he is better now. Did the vet know what was wrong, was it a reaction to the rabies vaccine? |
He said it was a reaction to the shot. He said it happens sometimes and it probably was not going to happen again. |
I'm glad he's fine. :D |
When Duke got his last round of puppy shots that included his rabies we had trouble with him. When they gave him the shot he immediately started dragging his bottom around on the floor and whining. For the remainder of that afternoon he kept doing this and turning around to lick himself. The vet said the shot might burn him a little. Maye you had a similar situation, but I think 3-4 days is a bit much. Glad he's feeling better. |

Glad to hear he is ok now. Sandy had his shot last month and he was very inactive and was licking himself all the time. But he was fine the second day, playing, running and like nothing's happened. |
