ok, so the vet thinks she will be fine..she had some sort of bacterial infection in her poop so she prescribed metronidazole. She was very dehydrated so she received some fluids..blood work was perfect, no pancreatitis or anything like that. thanks everyone for the prayers:) now i just have to wait until she feels better..i hate seeing her like this..she still doesnt want to eat or drink poor baby. |
I am glad to hear that you at least know what is wrong and are able to address it. It is hard to see our babies sick, regardless. Hoping Gizzie is feeling better soon! Huggs |

Prayers that she feels better soon! |
Good luck to you & Gizzie......hoping her belly is feeling better & you can rest well!!! :animal-pa |
Thank goodness it was nothing major...continued prayers for a speedy recovery! |
Glad to hear Gizzie will be ok. The metronidazole works pretty quick on my girls. |
I'm glad it wasn't anything serious and pray Gizzie will have a speedy recovery. My vet prescribed the same med (metronidazole). I'm little confused though. I was told this was a stool softner. If Gizzie was having diahrea, why would she need stool softner? I'm wondering if I misunderstood... |

Get well soon, Gizzie! You are on the mend. I have been thinking of you, little one! |
Glad to hear she is on the road to recovery :) |
Glad to see Gizzy is now diagnosed and should be on the way to a complete recovery.:getwellso |
Omgoodness, we just had this very same thing and diagnosis happen to us Christmas Day. We too went home with the same meds, plus amoxicillian and a prescription diet. It took a day or two before Mocha was 100%. Did your furbaby get a shot to stop to stop the vomiting? Glad Gizzy is doing better. Its so scary when they're sick and we don't know whats going on with them. |
