unsure what to do... I am sure this has been a topic posted like 500 times. Yesterday, my husband and I noticed that the puppy isn't eating like she normally does. She was doing really well for a period of time, even the hard food. Today and Yesterday she is not interested in food at all, not even the wet stuff. I did get her to eat a few bites from my hand. She was also shivering. I did give her Nurtical, just to be safe. Its just so scary, I will be calling the vet tomorrow, if she doesn't eat over night! Any ideas what could be going on? |
Is she drinking water? i would get her to the vet as soon as possible when they are puppies they can go down fast |
How old is your baby ? she could be off her food from teething. They usually shake from pain or maybe her anals are full. |
How old and big is she, does she have a hard tummy could she have a tummy upset, I would get her to a vet the little ones can go down hill quickly, is her gums pink and is she drinking water and pooping okay |
The next morning, she was back to her old self. Almost two full days of eating very litte... but she was going to the bathroom normal. I think she just had a little bug, and she snapped out of it. Thanks for the suggestions! So glad I have all of you here to panic to! |
How is she doing? Still better? |
My 2 have been doing that where they gobble up their food for a couple of days in a row and then all of a sudden they will just sniff the food and walk away. But I have gotten them in a bad habit where I bribe them. Well, I finally got a little bit smarter and now I take a piece of what food I would be giving them and let them see me putting it into their bowl. They think they are getting a treat so they start to eat and next thing, they are eating. lol I will usually put a small piece of cheese, green bean, carrot so something along those lines. |
