um...weird "erection"! My friend's yorkie is a neutered boy. Apparently yesterday he went on a play date with another friend's yorkie girl and when he came back home his pp was sticking out. It has been out all night, and he has been licking it, and seems to be uncomfortable. She called me this morning for help, but I had no idea what to tell her, never heard of that before. He's booked to see the vet this aft, but any thoughts in the meantime? |
It may be caught on his hair. Have her check around his penis for hair that may have slipped inside and pull any out that she can. Also, try to pull the skin up over his penis. If this doesn't work, she needs to get him in to the vet ASAP - don't wait for this afternoon! If exposed too long, the flesh can dry out and the penis can be damaged. If so, this could require surgery. Please give us an update later on how he's doing. |
Have her take him a warm bath..... what has happen it is too dry it can not go back in. In the bath it will soften and go back in by itself. |
Thank you so so much guys. i just called her to tell her about your tips, but she said she is at the vet right now and will call me back later. Will let you know. |

Awww she is such a good mommy  .... yes let us know what happens. :) |
there was another post here on YT about the same subject. t has been a while but was very informative. More than one person replied several times to the other thread. Hopefully they will see this one and offer help. If i am not mistaken one yorkie had several episodes, but it has been a while so i am not too sure. XOXO |
Chip has done that before and someone told me to put plain KY on his red rocket and kind of rub the area to get it moist, so I did, and it started slowly going back in. |
