Jack's hind leg My yorkie previously would not put weight on a hind leg....no pain, just held it in the air. I took him to the vet and they manipulated his leg in the back room and within seconds he came running out to see me. Has anyone had this problem and can you suggest anything that can be tried before hauling my pet off to the vet. Again, he is not feeling any pain and I know they must have just popped a joint in and he was fine. Cindi |
Luxating Patella. Did they tell you what Grade of LP it is? Did they tell you anything else? |
you can massage it back in place here is a pic of it so you can see what it is and it is the patella you are trying to move back in position on the knee cap when it pops out of joint you need to massage back into place - hope this helps - If the groove is not deep enough it will pop in and out. You can use cosequin as joint supplement if it keeps happening i would recommend giving this to your yorkie DEE DEE :: stifleanatomy.gif picture by dwerten - Photobucket |
