Would you induce vomiting? I just got home and see that Maddy had eaten at least one tea bag... Chai tea, has caffeine. The bags are paper, lined with tin foil. Here is the ingredients list: 100% natural ingredients: Bulk Tea: Blended black teas, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander Seed, Ginger Root, Natural flavor of Cinnamon, Natural flavor of Clove, Natural flavor of Cardamom Tea Bag: Natural decaffeinated black tea, Cinnamon, Ginger root, Natural flavors of cinnamon, Clove oil, Allspice, Clove, Nutmeg, Cardamom oil. I am calling the ER vet right now to make sure its okay. I am worried about her. She has thrown up once (on Chris' coat!) |
Sarah, I'll be interested in what the ER vet says since our girl likes to eat unusual things, too. For what it's worth, if she's already vomited once, she probably already got some of it out of her system. I'm not sure if one hour is the threshold of every ingested "questionable" substance (probably not) but the one time I called about something Taffy had eaten, that was one of the questions they asked. Please update to let us know how she's doing. |
Maddy is doing just fine! :) I did not have to take her in... |
so glad to hear that she is ok! It is so stressful when they eat something they shouldn't. I was constantly going throguh that with my Daisy when she was a pup. Thank God she is 5 but every now and then she will find something she shouldn't! I always come close to a heartattck when it happens! |
glad to hear she is ok :) |
Glad she is fine!!! |
Silly the things these babies will eat sometimes! lol |
Glad she's okay! I induced vomiting on Chip one time - I dropped a bottle of pills and keeping both dogs away and picking up pills from all over the floor... not an easy task. Smokey actually listened to my instruction (shocking, but I think he sensed my urgency and it stunned him), but Chip dove towards some pills and I couldn't tell whether he'd gotten one or not, so I figured him vomiting for a few minutes would be better than if he had gotten a pill - turns out he didn't, but better to be safe than sorry! |
