worried...grooming issues? :( Hi Everyone :) I took Coco for a haircut about 2 days ago and he's been acting extremely different since then. First when I picked him up I could tell he was scared, now I possibly thought he was just nervous that I had dropped him off at the salon and I wasn't there. I mean it wasn't the first time...So not only did he seem scared but since then he hasn't been peeing on his mat! He's a baby and he usually pees very often and always on his mat. Since the haircut he's been peeing only 2-3 times a day and anywhere he could find, never on his mat. I checked his bladder area and I don't see any irritation, redness or anything unusual everything looks fine. Could this be psychological? I would really appreciate your opinions:) Thanks:) -Maria |
We took Nala to the emergency vet a few weeks after we got her and they diagnosed her with kennel cough. We sent the x-rays to our real vet. Today, we took her to our vet because she's been "coughing" for a week and it sounded exactly like the kennel cough. She did a complete exam and tried to manipulate her throat to get her to cough again but she wouldn't. Since that was her only symptom accompanied by some diareah (they did a fecal) she said that there was a chance it could be mild collapsed trachea but you'd need an x-ray to tell. When we were paying Nala had another episode and the vet heard so she rushed to the other side of the counter to hear and feel what she was doing. It was reverse sneezing. She said it's nothing to worry about compared to coughing, but keep an eye on it because it could be a sign of allergy. |

here are videos i found of the differences - sounds like kennel cough to me also take a video of her when she does it on your digital camera so you can show your vet what she is doing as they never do it at the vets office it seems;) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...d-trachea.html |
