I dont know whats wrong with caddy. He dont want eat he is shaking all the time. Has it ever happend to any of you?

Something is definately wrong. Get him to the vet. It could be a multitude of things that are wrong with him.

I asked the other day if you had taken him to the vet yet? If not you really need to. He's probably shaking because he's hungry & hypoglycemic. Are you still feeding the Royal Canin, or did you go back to Ol'Roy?

Please take him to the doctor and make sure nothing is medically wrong.

Mmmm went back and read the OPer's Posts....evidently this has been going on for awhile......If she doesn't get him to a vet and fast she's going to lose him. The pup has been suffering too long.

Yorkie pups take alot of care. Their digestive tracts are their downfall. A pup your age should be eating a good quality food at least 3 times a day. At times we have to manipulate things to entice them to eat. You also need to keep NutriCal or PuppyCal on hand....as they are prone to hyperglycemia

I saw in one of your past posts that his coat was very dull, this can be caused by poor nutrition, parasites and/or a digestive problem.

Have you seen a vet at all since he's been brought home.....does he have all his shots.

I don't mean to seem harsh, but if you aren't able to care for him in the proper manner (including getting him to a vet) or his care is a bit overwhelming to you.....maybe he should be rehomed with someone that can.

When getting any new member in your family it is important to take then to the vet asap I just got Kingston on Sunday and took him for a check up Monday good thing I did he has an infection and I wouldn't have known without the vet

Yes he has all his shots. I took him to the vet about 1 month ago he for a cough i would say. And the vet gave him like antibiatics.and no i am not feeding him oroy i bought him royal cainane. I am also giving him nutrical vitamins.

I agree, something is definately wrong.

Oh! NutriCal is not really a vitamin....He's shaking and not eating is probably a sign of something else......

Does he do strange things after he eats?

Well last night after he took like 2 bite
was took of walking king wired alot of i call the vet and he told me to give pedialite and my he needs to be deworm

he eats it all.

i really think my other dog is fighting himm alot and he is stressing

Please, please don't feed him any of these things!! :eek:

They're way too high in fat for a little yorkie, and can trigger pancreatitis. This is probably why he's not eating. And he may be shaking from pain if it's pancreatitis.

Be sure to tell the vet everything you have fed him, and question him on fatty foods, pancreatitis and liver shunt. Please update us on what the doctor says. Good luck to you and Caddy.

That's why I asked how he behaved after he ate....I'm not sure, but it should be ruled out.

You are so right........everything you are feeding him can cause pancreatitis. You must keep his diet consistent. Royal Canin Puppy 33 can be mixed with a good quality wet food or you can add boneless, skinless steamed chicken breast sprinkled over the kibbles. You can also add a bit of parmasean cheese sprinkled on top of his kibbles.....low fat mild grated cheeder cheese.

If he's stressing out during feeding time, you need to seperate him from your other dog. Your yorkie is still a pup and how you handle him affects his self confidence.

please dont feed him ham, winnies or bolonie
or any human processed food; these things are high in fat and salt and can cause stomach upset and bad eating behavior; he doest want to eat his dog food because he's holding out for this junk food. so please stick to dog food only; good luck

Woohooo i took my baby to vma animal hospitol and nothing is wrong with his health.... How ever he did had a sting from my carpet between his teeth. So the vet said that must of been the reason why he was not eating. They tried giving some of there food and sure enough he started eating

Wonderful news......then his shaking and hunching over was due to hunger and he just couldn't eat.

That's great! I'm so glad you took him in. Hopefully he'll start eating his kibble again today.

I had a mini dachshund that used to shake when her back was out of whack...I'd have to take her to the vet for pain killers, muscle relaxers, and sometimes steroids (prednisone)...Botton line is you need to get the pup to the vet, or get it to a rescue, where they can get it to a vet...You can't just let it suffer...That's just wrong...

Glad he's doing better!! I know I had major issues with getting Sophie to eat until she was spayed. I spent a small fortune on high prices wet and raw food, plus had to watch for hypoglycemia. Now that she's spayed she'll eat Natural Balance dry kibble and is happy as a clam about eating it.

So do keep a close eye on your little guy. When something is wrong, they can go downhill fast. Glad is wasn't something major and that he's eating.
