I'm so sorry...it must be awful for you to have to watch your precious little girl in obvious pain:(
We all love Tatum here and none of us can bear the thought of her in any discomfort.
I wish i could be of some help...I was thinking maybe warm baths might ease things a little for her?
Let us know how that little darling gets on...Pixie sends her lots of kisses...she hasn't been too good lately either, so i know a little bit of what a worry it is when somethings not right with our babies...i'm like you in that i stress and can't eat/sleep etc.

So sorry to hear that Tator is not feeling well. I feel so bad for the little cutie...do you think her throwing up also made her throw up the meds & that's why it's not working?

Thanks Rachel...I hate it too :( It makes me completely crazy...I wish I could just snap my fingers and all the pain would go away :cry:

Brooke, i am soooooooooo sorry to hear about little Tater Bug! Can you just hold her to get the weight off of her legs?? Warm blankies are good too!! Sending prayers girl!! xoxoxox

Thank you so much Kerry...you are always SUCH a doll and are so so caring...I just love you! :hug:

Hubby mentioned a warm bath for her as well. I always bathe her in the sink, but she is SO restless right now...so I would probably have to put her in the regular bath tub and actually get in there with her (I've never done THAT before.... ha....:eek:) so that she would maybe lay down or either I could just hold her....because if I put her in the sink with the way she is right now, I think she would just end up standing there or turning around in pain :( I just want to try and keep her off of her little legs as much as possible. I so wish she could just sleep! :(

Poor sweet Pixie...I had no idea that she wasn't doing well lately...but that's probably because I haven't been on much. :( Give that sweet baby girl lots of love and hugs for us...we just love her...she is such a sweet little doll. Hugs to you and Pixie both...I will keep you all posted :hug:

You may be so right.....don't know why I didn't think of this. Don't want to scare u Brooke, but I was on pain meds after surgery for kidney stone that wasn't properly done. Ended up going to emerg room, couldn't be still from the pain & nausea. After they gave me something intravenously, the pain stopped within a few minutes. Just want u to be able to discuss ALL options with the Vet to stop sweet Tate's pain.

I am so sorry little taters is not feeling well. I am going with she is just haveing a bad reaction to the meds and a quick change is going to do the trick. Thats going to be mine and Milo's spin on positve thinking.

Hopefully the Dr. will get home earlier than expected.

Thanks girl...I feel so bad for her too :( If only there were a way for the pain to just magically disappear. I wish. :( As for her throwing up the pain meds...I really don't know if she did. I thought of it, but there is really no way of me ever knowing :( I gave her pain meds on Friday (night) and yesterday as well (she DIDN'T throw up after she took the med) and it still didn't seem to help at all...so I am just kind of worried and scared. I don't know why they are suddenly not working when they always did before (she's been on this specific pain med for almost a year now). Sigh....I just hate this :(

I was thinking maybe fill the tub up quite deep and hold her under her chest and let her float a while...no pressure on her legs at all?

Had an awful scare with Pixie...she went blind in one eye a few weeks back..she had Optic Neuritis. She was given a shot of steroids & antibiotics and is still on eye drops...last check up she had got the sight back to almost normal..so i'm hoping & praying it stays that way...we go back in a few weeks for another check up...these little ones sure do keep us on our toes don't they!? I was just beside myself...:(

Thanks Linda...hugs to you girl...we love ya :hug: I have some blankies in the dryer right now warming up and either hubby or I will hold her...and I am still thinking about the bath thing too. For the most part she is just laying down...but sometimes she gets up and is restless and that is when she goes down on her front legs and sticks her little butt in the air.

Thanks hun....you are so sweet. I thought of her possibly throwing up the meds too...but then I thought of something else :( You can read the reply a few posts above that I posted to mimimomo regarding the throwing up/meds thing. :(

Thank you so much for the positive thinking...I hope that's all it is...but I just know my baby girl...she has been on this same exact pain medication for almost a year...and has never ever thrown up from it....not even once...plus, she was in pain yesterday and the day before as well...and never threw up or had diarrhea from the pain medication that I gave her. I really *really* think it's her knees. :cry: I can just tell by the way she is acting. :cry: But again, I greatly appreciate your positive thinking and I HOPE that you're right! :hands:

That is a GREAT idea girl! I think she would really enjoy the warmth of the water yet not having her legs touch the bottom...that will definitely help relieve some of the pain and pressure I think :thumbup:

OMG....poor Pixie!!! I cannot even IMAGINE going through that! You must have been scared to death girl! I am sooo glad to hear that they were able to restore her vision though. Thank God! Bless her little heart and yours. What a nightmare that must of been :( I pray that all goes well with her next check-up and I will certainly be keeping the little angel in my thoughts and prayers and that\'s a promise! Hugs to her! :hug:
