2 year old limping yorkie Hello and hopefully someone here will be able to help me my 4 yorkies and i were out in the back yard playing this evening when the oldest daisy according to my husband it looked like she tripped but now she is limping if she has to walk and if at all possible isnt putting her front right paw down at all since i brought her in side she hasnt moved alot at all i know that there are heredity diseases and all but this just happened it a sunday about 8pm and this happened with in the last hour my husband think we should wait and see but i am all for taking her to puppy er and having her checked out. i'm afraid she might really be hurt i tried to look at her paw and didnt see anything in her pad and if i tried to move her leg she would wiggle her body and try to get away. anything suggestions that might help |
does she seem to be in alot of pain, I would take her in if it was me but Im a paranoid mommy, how big is she. I would keep an eye on her and you can decide. I would try to keep her calm and not jumping around, if she feels like running around |
she is 26 months old and she is just laying in bed and she is about 6-7 pounds. and the only time she seems in pain is when we were trying to look at it and when she does decide to move. |
My 1 year old Yorkie is doing the same We took him to the vet today and he has luxating patella and may require surgery. He started limping about 5 days ago all of a sudden just while playing with my daughter. He was across the room from her when he yelped and has been lame ever since. He can't even go up and down stairs :( Hope your baby is ok and it is not the LP. |
