I have no advice to offer, but will keep Coach and your family in my prayers! |
OMG poor Coach. :cry8: My folks had a dog once that had stomach cancer. Their options were chemo and radiation treatments. They tried that for a couple of weeks and it just made the poor dog sicker. They then had the poor suffering dog put down. I don't know of any other type of treatment for cancer. I wish you luck and give Coach hugs and kisses from us. |

I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep you and little Coach in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm so sorry to hear about Coach. :( I don't know much about stomach cancer in dogs. My bullmastiff was diagnosed with lymphoma at 6 years old and with treatment (chemo) he lived a month shy of his 8th birthday. I will say if you decide this is something you want to treat that a specialist is probably the way to go. We saw an oncologist for my bullmastiff, and I truly believe he received better care than his regular vet could have provided. You will both be in my thoughts. |

Hi this is jtamaura sorry I changed my user name. Quick update on Coach. We have decided that the best thing for both of us is to let him go. I dont think I have the heart to see him go through anything that will hust him and it is scheduled to happen in about an 1 1/2 hrs. soo I will need all you you friends.:( |
Oh no You're going to have to let your vet and your heart lead you on this one. I am so sorry to hear this. You and Coach have come such a long way in such a short time. See, you have bonded. If there is a chance that he can come through this the rewards will be immense. If the vet believes that his suffering will be too great, then you have the comfort of knowing that you have made his stay with you one of love and care and that he loved you back enough to pee on you. There is a reason he has come into your life and there is a reason he will either stay or leave. My thoughts are with you as you make these difficult decisions. |
I'm so sorry to here this about Coach. I don't know anything about stomach cancer in dogs. I will keep Coach, you and your family in my prayers.:hands: |
