How many times do you take your yorkie out a day? They say one can hold their bladder as to how many months they are. As a 3 month old can hold it for 3 hours. But there's no way my little guy can hold it for 8 hours. I take him out every 4 hours. Usually 5 times a day. Does that sound about right? |
I probably take mine out about 7 to 8 times a day because I do not want him to have any accidents. The longest he has held it was about 5 hours (he is almost 14 weeks) and that is because I didn't hear my alarm in the middle of the night to get up and let him out. He never cried or went to the bathroom in his crate so when I woke up that morning I think he had the longest pee of his life. That sounds about right though. Does yours ask to go outside yet or you just have a set schedule to take it outside for potty breaks? |
I take Gwendolyn out 6 to 7 times a day but I got her a dog door and it makes it a lot easier now!:) |
Whenever Hope "tells" me to, :D and we take Rio out at least 6 times a day. |
He only ask to go outside to poo. Hahha so i just schedule every 4-5 hours to take him out to pee. But at night i crate him and he can hold it the whole night. Well good luck with yours. Hahha I had a hard time with my little guy when he was that age. |
Mine will be 9 weeks tomorrow and we are in the housetraining phase....seems all I do is go outside LOL....I never thought to get up at night unless he told me to, should I be??? We have a partitioned crate and he has only peed in it once.....because we went to run an errand and it ended up being way longer than the" simple" errand our family member asked us to do. Mine at 8 weeks lasts 5 -6 hours at night. So far.....still concerned about the sometimes yelping when he has a BM......was switching food gradually now wondering if I should[ I don't like purina puppy chow and that's what the breeder had been using] we havea use Eukanuba for our cats....also at 8 weeks I don't think he drinks enough...I am a worry wart right now LOL Like a new mom huh LOL:animal-pa |
