good luck this morning!! make sure you let us know! |
I took louis back to the vet today.he's staying unil 4 or 4:30pm. He hasn't vomited, he did poo in the morning and he was playing around a bit. I believe he's better than yest. There are times when he will just lay down and sleep. I really hope he gets that thing out of his system himself. :'(. Its so stressing, my poor little baby :'(.I'm gonna keep praying that he gets better on his own. My poor thing .I'll keep u guys updated and thanks again, we really need all the prayers. |
Good luck! Be sure to keep us updated :) |
Glad to hear no surgery at this point. I'll keep praying that he improves. Come on Louis, you can do it!! |
Poor little guy! It's always so hard when they are sick...Tears us up!! Hang in there...I will be sending prayers over to you... |
I was hoping that louis was able to poop out the nylabone ? Did you bag up the poo? Yes, I know it's gross, but maybe it's in there? So glad he is feeling better! Praying for your little guy to be able to come home this evening. |
How is Louis? I hope he got that piece of nylabone out. I thought about him all day today. Please update when you can. |
update on louis i picked louis up from the vet. she gave me baytril and told me to give it to him once a day for 10 days , she says its to help him poo out the nylabone "edible" piece and i have to bring him back to her on wednesday to see if he finally poops it out himself. if he doesnt then he has to have surgery :(. im so scared. i really want him to do it by himself, ive read that putting dogs through surgery in a short term period is not good at all and he just got neutered 2 weeks ago :(. ugh . this is so frustrating. apparently the nylabone is moving because she took an xray yesterday and today. he does poo, pee and he hasnt vomited since i put him on a soft diet. so we're hoping he gets rid of it by himself. thanks for all ur prayers guys i really do appreciate it. we need them :(. p.s: i hate to look at him just lay down and not play :(. he has some times where he does stand and walks around and bites my thumb like he used to. in the a.m today he was out running like usual...now i walked him when i got back from the vet and he looked like he didnt wanna walk.. until he saw this little dog he played with. well... he stopped playing and walked aside, this is def. not normal for him. he loves playing with other pups :(. i know my poor baby is in pain and it kills me to know he is and not be able to do anything. i keep praying he gets better soon. |
Hopefully little Louis will poop out that bone. At least it is moving and not stuck. And hopefully since it was an edible bone it will digest some on the way down and he can poop it out easily. If the vet said she doesn't need to see him until next wednesday then she must be pretty confident that he will work it out on his own. If it were causing a blockage she would not wait. Hopefully Louis will be feeling like his old self really soon. Hugs to you and Louis. |

I will continue to keep your little Louis and you in my prayers.:hands: |
Poor little louis, i believe that its a good sign that he pooped now we just need it to come out if him. |
I made him chicken soup yesterday and he ate it in less than a minute O.O. He hasn't vomitted, he poopd this morning, I took him for a walk and he doesn't wanna walk like before..he just stops and I basically take him home. I guess the heat bothers him right now, idk. I'm still hoping he gets rid of that thing. Thanks guys. |
I am glad louis is back home. He is not vomiting , and is behaving more normal , even though a little tired . He's eating and drinking, having bowel movements, and peeing. These are all great signs . The nylon bon was digestable. Here's praying that it is going to break down in his intestines , and come out just fine ! the vet said it is moving, thankfully their is no obstruction. All of these are positive signs . My thoughts and prayers are with louis and you for a good outcome. I feel like he is going to be ok. |
