Reverse sneezing????
 
Okay so both Bailey and my moms boy Maverick have been having what seems to be a lot of reverse sneezing.... is it possible the have a cold or something???

Is it like snorting/goose sounds? Does it seem like they feel under the weather?? Peanut does the reverse sneeze a lot!! When he drinks cold water too fast, when he is super excited, or when he runs too fast. I have been to the vet and paid 600$ for the vet to tell him he is fine!! I did take xrays and he doesnt have a collaspe trechea! So I just deal with it when he does it.. He will stop dead in his tracks and have his little "attack" but I will just go to him kneal down and rub his throat up and down and talk to him..that weill usually help, and calm him down! :D

One of the vets I talked to said that reverse sneezing is normal but to be careful not to let them become entranced, then they'll do it a lot longer! He says his dog does this and all he does is distract his dog with a toy or treat to get him to stop. I've personally never seen that but it's worth a try.

is it reverse sneeze? I found these videos to help others determine what it is

just put finger over nostrils and open mouth and it stops immediately

it can be due to allergies or if they over weight it will make it worse so is weight ok ?

Im not even sure if its reverse sneezing... Peyton has reverse sneezing every once in awhile its a little different its hard to explain how the little ones sound.... it sounds like they are sick like if your nose was running and you sniffed in thats what it sounds like they are doing and then it sounds if they take in to much air and then a slight cough.....

I'm so glad I heard about this on YT before Meika started doing it. It is so pathetic when they do it, and I would have totally freaked out if I didn't already know what it is.

My Max does it a lot more than Miley, I just get down by him and talked to him and rub him and tell him it's okay. He doesn't do it long thanks god.
But he always gets it , if he drink to fast.
