Acts like peeing but doesn't?
 
My puppy for the past couple of days squats almost everywhere and acts like she is peeing but she isn't. But when she actually does she goes quite often. Does anyone else have or had this problem? Thanks guys!

How old is your puppy. If she hasn't been spayed, she could be marking her territory (yes, girls mark too) even those that have been spayed. But, there could be other underlying issues. You might want to have the vet check her for a Urinary Track Infection, just to be on the safe side.

She just turned 5 months. She does have something else wrong they think its hypoglycemia but not really sure. Her urine smells kind of fishy, I have noticed that for a couple weeks, but this just the past couple of days.

She's a bit to young to be coming into heat. It happens sometimes at 6 months of age, but not on the average. I'd take her in and have her checked.

I just called the vet, they want me to get a urine sample and bring it to them. She is just barely 2 pounds and been through a lot, we go to the vet like every week to week and a half because she needs ivs :( They know me when I call now. They have thought her to have megaesophagus and liver shunt, but those tests came back negative, so I don't know what is going on. She has been on an antibiotic twice now and finishing up on the second one. Can Yorkies get yeast infections?

Yes yorkies can get yeast infections. But, I've only experienced it in with ears and eyes.

Good you're taking a urine sample in....better safe than sorry. Has she been obsessed with her private area?

Mine used to pretend to pee to get a treat. We gave a small food reward when they went on their pad. They started trying to fake us out. Hope everything is well. Keep us posted.

Not really, the cat has been though... he always cleans her

Oh my, too cute. Cats are obsessively clean and most yorkies are very clean.....your lil one must be absolutely spotless.

Most of the time :) She tries to fight him off but he just pins her down and does it anyways, its really funny and cute to watch, she ends up just giving up and letting him

Well we got results back today dont know whether to take them good or bad! She said she still has bacteria in her urine which is why we was giving her the amoxil before, so now tomorrow she has to try a new antibiotic. When I went to pick her up at my mothers tonight atfer work she looked about dead. I have several other posts up about the other things wrong with her but this is killing me I just want my baby to get better.

You know I just spoke to my vet the other day about Amoxie.....and he really doesn't have faith in it. He prefers Clovimox.

i agree, the vets i worked for rarely prescribed amoxi. clavamox was the AB of choice for small dogs. its a general antibiotic that helps with so many things.

I keep a supply of Amoxi tablets for routine things such as scaling teeth. But, that's pretty much what the my vet says to use it for.

Does anybody happen to know of anything to get a puppies gums back to pink? I have tried: NutriCal, Karo syrup, honey, peanut butter, pedialyte.

I do not know whether it is anemia or her sugar is low.

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!
