Hurt nose 1 Attachment(s) My fiance recently took in a stray kitten. One day he took it into my room so that he could play with it and lock Emmett out. Emmett sat at the door and barked, while shoving his nose under the door to sniff. I was not home, but he says that this went on for about an hour. When I got home it looked as if Emmett had rubbed all the skin off of one side of his nose. It was bleeding. All his hair had been rubbed off too. I washed it and put peroxide on it to keep it from getting infected. Is there anything else I should do??? I cried over this and everything. I don't know if I should put any medicine on it because Emmett could lick it. Help. Here is a poor quality picture of what I am dealing with. |
Sorry to double post, but I wanna make Emmy's nose feel better. Can I at least put some vitamin E on it or something??? |
I would out very little neosporin on it. Neosporin is NOT toxic but can act like a laxative, so just a thin coat. Hope Emmett's nose feels better! And tell that mean ol dad, not to love on a kitty, to love on Emmett!:D After all it is Emmett's house! |

I'm not a cat person so this whole thing is quite irritating. I don't like that the cat is upsetting Emmett. Plus, "ol dad" is giving the kitty all his love and and I think Emmett is jealous. I know its weird, but as yorkie owners I bet you all might understand my sentiment... Emmett is the Prince of the house! Too bad that my fiance already loves that cat so much. I just can't say no... even though Emmett is giving me that "why mom" look. :( |
Years ago I had a puppy that brought a kitten home in his mouth. I'm not a cat person either so I took the kitten 2 blocks this way 3 that way and dropped it off(sorry). Half hour later the puppy had the same kitten in his mouth. So Cat stayed. Anyway Cat grew up thinking he was a dog! Knew how to sit, roll over, stay, anything the dog could do the cat did too! So who knows you might have a second kittydog! |
I hope so, but I don't really know ho to introduce the kitten to Emmett. It is still so small, and Emmett had been hunting them because they had been born under our house. He wont stop barking at it, and when I tried to show him the kitty today he tried to bite it. Is there anything I can do to help Emmett get to know the cat? Or, is it too late because he already hates the cat because it was under the house for so long... this sucks. :( |
