Munchie vomited and now is laying down Im not sure if it's because he was running around too much cause he seemed fine and all of a sudden started looking sick. What can I give him to help his tummy????? Also im not sure if he is laying down because he is tired of not feeling well:rolleyes: |
Has he been in the heat? If he has he might be sick from that. Did he eat too much or drink too much too quickly? It could be that also. My Marley just contracted a bacteria from a kennel I had her at while away on vacation but thats a whole other story. I would say feed boiled chicken ( no bones ) with rice. You can shred the chicken or do what I do and put the pieces in a mini food processor and then sprinkle that over some cooked rice. Dogs do throw up though occasionally and then are perfectly fine afterwards. Just keep an eye on him and if he does it again and its not food, and more like bile or muscus, or worse blood, then take him to the vet to get checked out .These little guys can dehydrate fast so make sure he is getting plenty of fluids and staying relatively cool during this HOT summer! |
Might want to take and re-post this in the sick section. Received some good advice. Just keep an eye on him to see how he acts besides his vomiting. ~Joanne~ |
ok all I have right now is white rice. can I give him that??? Also I read about bananas being good???? |
Was there grass in his vomit? Sometimes when they're outside they eat too much grass. I think I've heard bananas are good for this too. MizMaRLeysMoM86 had good advice too. |

You can also hard boil some eggs and just give him the white part, no yolk. When Uni was sick we gave her boiled chicken, egg white, and rice. She would spit out the egg white b/c the chicken was so much better. Now that she just gets kibble, she is begging for egg white. :P If you go out and get chicken make sure you boil it, NO SALT, NO SKIN, NO BONES! Just plain plain plain boiled. Oh do have NutriCal? That will help him too. |
ok thanks guys. |
My vet told me once to coat his tongue with Pepto. That did the trick for my puppy when his tummy seemed upset. |

I think you can get it at petsmart or petco. Make sure he is drinking water!!! He's not had any runny poop? If not, maybe he just felt like throwing up. Anyway better safe than sorry. |
