Help pup stung by a bee on his foot!! Bruizer stepped on a bee today and he got stung. He is limping and won't put any weight on his front paw. He threw up about an hour and a half later. I'm worried! Does anyone have any suggestions? He is 4 months old and he weighs 2 lbs. 9 oz. |
Bumping this up for you! |
is his foot swollen or is he showing any sign of an allergic reaction? has he throw up again? |
I think they usually give them benedryl for that, but you would have to call a vet to find out how much and if they have some for dogs or if they use human denedryl. |
Benydryl will help with an allergic reaction. I am not sure iof the dose for his weight. I would call a 24 hour vet and ask them. Hope he feels better soon. |

Did you get the stinger out? And YES use benadryl, I would give it to him no matter what. They can seem fine then hours later get sick and die. and make sure the stinger is out. |
And 1CC is the same as 1ML |
make paste Beside the benedrly also make a paste of baking soda and little water and put it on the bee sting. It helps draw the poison out. |
I put the baking soda paste on his paw but, he didn't leave it on long.....He hasn't thrown up at all last night and he is running around and acting normal now....I think he is going to be ok...Thank you for all of your help! |
Jackson got stung about a hour and a half ago. He seems fine just like he is in pain. I gave him 1/2 cc of children's tylenol. I am fixing to go and get the benedryl to be on safe side. Thank you all for this post. I was freeking out. He is 5 months old and weighs about 4 lbs. That is what he weighed two weeks ago today at his checkup. I am just terrified. I lost one yorkie a year ago and just can't think of loosing this one now that I finally got another one. |

I only gave him 1/2 of a cc. of the Infants tylenol. The vet said it takes 3 500 mg tablets to be toxic. In that small of a dose it is fine. He is fine now. I went and got the benedryl as suggested and gave him the 1 cc. It seems to have helped tremendously. It has been 4 hours since he was stung and he is now eating and up and moving around. Back leg seems to be a little bit sore but that is expected. Again, thank you all for your help. |
