red spot! I need help. I have two yorkies.... the male is 7pounds and the female is only 4 pounds. few weeks ago I saw a red spot on my female. I took the female to the vet and the vet said that there was no mites... I thought the male was biting her or sumthing. So since then, I kept them separately. Today I just bathe my female. I'm very shocked to see there are three red spots! I'm confused what is wrong with her. She acts find though... Now I am wondering is it because of the food? I feed her royal canine for yorkie, because it is recommended by the breeder of my male (the breeder female used science diet)... So what do you think I should do? And what can I do to make the red spot heal? thanks before... |
could be flea bites?? is she scratching?? I think if it was the food there would be more spots and more symptoms. might wanna call the vet today... good luck kiddo. |
Has she lost hair in those spots? Did they check for ringworm and fungal infections? I doubt its the food |
Also sometimes they have to check more than one time for it to show mites |

Can you describe it more - is it flaky or ? It could be a skin infection. The vet could do a smear and look under scope to see if there is excess bacteria, but also a fungal culture could be done (takes 10-14 days). |
My guess would be flea bites, but it could be ant bites or ticks. |
