Awe, poor guy. He probably just has a virus of some sort. Praying he's better soon! |
Hi Archie, I had this problem with Abbi when I first got her and I know how tough it is because they can't talk to you and tell you what's wrong but you feel like you should be able to "fix" them. Stop and buy some pedialite, some canned pumpkin (will help stop the loose stools and the dogs LOVE it), some plain, unflavored yoghurt (make sure it's not sweetened) and some brown rice (my vet said it's much better in nutrition than the white rice). Start with some pumpkin, yoghurt and pedialite. Cook up the chicken and rice. If he keeps down the pumpkin and things look OK try some chicken and rice and follow it up with more pumpkin and yoghurt. Good luck! I hope it's just a touch of the flu and he's all better quickly. Michele :-) |

Thank you Michele, I always forget about the pumpkin! Never had to use it but will get some if this continues. Store is right around the corner. Brown rice suggestion is also good to know. Thanks so much, |
I am so very sorry that sweet little Buddy is feeling poorly. I hope that he will be feeling better by the time you get home and the two of you can have a pleasant afternoon together. Don't you just hate it when you have to take a "sick" day 'cause you're really sick?????? Sending  to you and Buddy! |
Archie, I forgot to mention - if it doesn't clear up get him to the vet. I worked with Abbi for about 3 days and it kept looking like she was getting better, but then she would relapse. The vet put her on antibiotics and said to keep feeding her the way I was and she was finally cured. XO, Michele :-) |
I would take him to the Dr our little one got heat stressed last summer right after we got her by running in the heat of the day. I had to take her to the Dr two days in a row to get her temp under control and stop the vomiting. She was heat stressed, and if she wasn't better by day two they were going to give her IV to keep her hydrated. |

Shhhhhh don't tell. Thank heaven's I have lot's of time. Fortunately I'm never sick so I won't be questioned at all. I actually loose 1 day a month because I have accumlated the max. Been loosing 12 days a years for years so I don't feel guilty at all. |

I'm assuming it's the heat. If not the vet will be getting a visit from us today or tomorrow depending on what happens this afternoon. Thanks guys, |

OMG Carol Buddy sure has been keeping you on your toes lately hasn't he??:( I have to believe it was the heat...it was super hot here last week and you can tell the difference in the animals. Izzy and the cat peeps were just being lethargic and not wanting to eat. I hope that's all it is with Buddy. Oh and I'd be playing hookie, too to get home to be with my baby. We won't tell..lol. Keep us posted when you get home later.:D |

Awwww thanks Elaine. I keep looking at the clock. Can't wait to get out of here. I really think he's feeling better. I only hope he's not howling in the kitchen or my neighbor's won't be happy. He always has free run and is never confined. With all the tile in the house he always hit's the rugs:( |
Aww..I hope poor Buddy feels better soon! We have the heat here in Pa also and Sophie was panting more than usual. I was able to walk her early Sunday morning before it got to hot and on Monday it was too hot. We took her to PetSmart and walked her around there for awhile. Just to get her some exercise. It\'s going to be a long summer I\'m afraid...... |
I just saw this...hope Buddy feels better soon!! |
