So sorry for your loss. I can tell how much Spunky was loved. I hope you find peace. This is a great place to be when you lose a pet because everyone here can really understand the depth of your love for Spunky. |
I'm so sorry for your loss you did the best you could with the knowledge you had. Don't blame yourself. |
I am so sorry for your loss. You had no way of knowing how sick your baby was. |
So sad your sweet Spanky is gone. :( Thanks for sharing. |
Oh wow, I am so sorry for this loss. You know between my daughter and I, we have 5 yorkies and they go to the vet for checkups for illnesses for whatever and my vet and her vet (we have two different ones at two different clinics) have never done "routine" blood work only when they have been ill. Please don't beat yourself up over this. I have to believe that everything in this life has a meaning and purpose even if it was meant for someone else other than the one its affected. I think there are alot of folks here that will learn something from this and I bless you for sharing this heartbreaking tragedy that has happened in your life with this forum. I'm sure you have some wonderful memories of your little buddy that will always hold a place in your heart that nothing else will share that spot. I hope your healing comes and you will find some peace. We offer a big hug to you from all of us here. |
How sad! :( I am so very sorry for your loss of Spunky. My heart breaks for you. RIP sweet boy Spunky |
Day2 without Spunky First Thank You for your very kind words of comfort. The first day was very hard. Every inch of our house reminds us of him. He loved to play with ice cubes. We called it playing Hockey. AND he was good! I can't get in the refrigerator just yet. The window he sat at, waiting for anyone to visit is unoccupied. It got so bad that we had to leave the house and sit at a park until we knew we had to go home from exhaustion. (crying) This morning I expected him to come out from behind the bed so I could take him outside. He never came! My wife is so used to him being right behind her everywhere she goes. And he is not there. I look out the kitchen window and I can see him going up the hill to do his business. But I know I'll never see him again, at least not soon enough. All of the routines we had are gone. I see the carpet runner I installed to make it easier for him to go up and down the steps. In the refrigerator is the tiny hamburger I made for him Sunday Night. He never ate it. This is so hard to deal with and I'm one of those guys that is known as being tough as nails. He should still be here is the toughest part. Thank you all again. Spunky's Dad |

He is still in the window, you just can't see him. He sat beside you at the park while you cried. He still remains at your wife's heels, she just doesn't hear him. He is still with you because he is forever in your heart. No one can take that away.... |

I am so very sorry for your loss. May your hearts heal soon and may your memories bring you happiness. R.I.P Spunky |
