Yellow barf in the morning My one year old male has barfed the yellow bile stuff twice in two days... at 7 am Sunday morning and 5 am Monday morning. Thinking I need to give him a bed time snack to keep his stomach from getting empty overnight. He is normal otherwise. Thoughts? Thanks, Barry |
There are a few reasons why a dog would throw up yellow bile...it can be from allergies, digestive issues or an empty stomach. Do you leave food available at night for them? I leave food and water in their kennels during the night for them so they at least have a snack if they want one. |
A dry cookie before bed helps. Feeding "dinner" later in the day helps too. Mine get too hungry to eat dinner later than 4-6pm, so we usually do the snack before bed. If I don't, Sammy has that problem and will puke around 4am...usually on my pillow and all over herself requiring a bath  We just keep some biscuits next to the bed :) |
I do leave dry food out overnight, but I will give him some treats before bed. Thanks. |
I don't have any answers but I hope whatever you do it stops this and your baby feels better! (It's always a good day when there's no barf!) :) |
Acid Stomach Oh my gosh , I have rescued soooo many dogs and never had this with any of them till Sparky. He has to be fed every 6 to 7 hrs or he throws up, It's called Acid stomach. It's kinda hard to go anywhere I always have to be home in time to feed him. |
Feeding him a snack before bedtime has taken care of the morning barfing. Barry |
That is good to hear! Poor little thing;) |
If you give him a bedtime snack and this bile vomiting continues, you might want to do some bloodwork to check for pancreatitis or other digestive issues. Everyone I know who has had issues with both experienced bile vomiting as fairly regular intervals. |
hope he feels better =/ hope leaving his food out helps his poor little stomach |
