I am wondering how Max is doing? My offer to help you still stands. You have my cell phone number and my email. Please know that there is help available for your little guy and I can help you find a good rescue unless you have been able to find the funds needed for his surgery. :(

Everyone should be glad to hear that Max will be having his surgery either late this week or early next week. A few folks donated some money and my adopted family will put up remainder of the down payment so Max can have his surgery.

Max has really been doing good. He is even chasing his mommy around the house. If I don't pick him up, he is right behind me no matter where I go in the house. And when we go somewhere, he has been showing off his "Service Dog" vest. His appetite has been great and is in a good move. I have already stocked up on rice and chicken noodle baby food for when he comes home from the vet.

I am quite nervous about him having surgery. The vet has already told me that he would spend one night for sure and possible two nights at the vet after surgery.

I will keep you all updated as to when he has surgery and his recovery if you want. :confused:

Of course keep us posted on Max!!! This is the best news ever. I have been thinking about this little guy constantly. Stay strong and have faith that Max will do fine. He is a strong little guy. Please, please, please keep us posted:)

Great news that Max is having surgery! Does the vet feel that he will be able to full fix the fractures in both legs properly? Please keep up posted how he is doing. :)

The vet is very encouraging as to getting both legs fixed so Max has full use of his legs. I'm just nervous, he's my baby.

I've just read this entire thread and I'm SO happy that Max is having surgery!!!! I just love his pics, he looks like such a little sweetie.

I called Max's new surgeon today and Max is scheduled for surgery on Monday, June 1. The vet can't schedule it any earlier cause he needed to have a large block of time for the surgery to repair Max's legs. So, this means I have 10 more days in which I get to worry about the surgery.

I'll let you all know on June 1st how it goes but the surgeon is very confident that Max's legs will heal correctly.

Thank you so much for the update on little max. It sounds like you have found a good doctor and I'm glad he is confident in max's outcome. Keeping you and max in our thoughts and prayers.

I have lost my Crystal since this, but she had a breathing problem and we rushed her out of the house to a vet closer to us and they put her in oxyagen and she was there for a while that night, they wanted payment right away, I said excuse me, this was an emergency, I can get to the bank tomorrow and pay this bill. Well they called somewhere and they got me approved for this Health care credit.I was able to take 3months to pay it and the vet bill was like $500.00. Since then Iost her from heartfailure.
