My Roxy is vomiting yellow foam I don't know what to do. I'm scared Roxy started vomiting yellow foam she did it one day last week but I really didn't follow up on it I thought maybe it was because she eats her poop. But this morning we woke up and when I was brushing my teeth I noticed her gagging then all of a sudden she threw up again then walked a couple of feet and again I'm starting to get scared because this has never happened and now she's just walking around making gagging noises like she has something stuck in her throat. What can it be? |
Hi Maddy, If there is any possiblity that she could have gotten into something I would take her to the Emergency Vet. I know that sometimes when Milo eats grass he throws up but it is right after that he does this. Has she eaten breakfast yet? Can you get her to drink some water? |
Hi Cheryl, No she hadn't eaten anything it was right after we woke up. She's ate like 5 mins after she vomited. She is always sniffing away I have this Outst machines that spit out the air freshner I'm afraid the spray and liquid hit the floor and when she smells she licks it up. Do you think that can be it. I mean I've always had them but this just started. I've been reading up and some say that it can be the food thats not digesting good. I feed her Beneful before I use to feed her Eukanuba but it became costly and also because she was so little she hardly had teeth but she loves the Beneful. I'll try anything once and if its the food then I'll put her on the best food there is. Even if I don't eat she's gonna be healthly.... My vet sells sciencitfic diet I think it is. I heard thats the best... Quote:

Ok, first get rid of the oust, thats got crap in it that is not good for you let a lone the dog. Benifull is not a great food neither is science diet. What I use for Milo is Natural Balance LTD I get it at Petco, we have never had a problem. Two things to keep in mind get a petco card they keep track and after a certain amount of bags they send you a coupon for a free bag. Sign of for Natural Balance's email list on there website and they send you coupons as well, plus it goes on sale at least once a month. I am not saying that you need to feed the same thing. A general rule of thumb is if it is sold in the supermarket it is not of good quality, and Eukanuba and Science diet while sold in the Vets office are not of good quality food. Their is plenty of affordable good quality dog food out there, remember it might seem like a lot for the bag but she does not eat that much so the bag will last a lot longer. Is she still gagging? If not I would just watch her today. Keep checking her gums to make sure they are pink and make sure she is eating, drinking and acting normal. Sometimes they just get a tummy ache its hard cause they can't talk to us. |
The yellow foam is stomach bile and usually happens when they haven't eaten. Ramsey does that... |
I agree with the previous post. Watch her and let us know! |

Great, enjoy it out there.....I used to have a convertible Milo loved it. Make sure to get Roxy sunglasses that was the first thing my Vet told me when I got my car, he said would you drive in a convertible without glasses?........So happy training is going better. Enjoy the day |

Also try searching the forum for the word "foam". There are some tips on using yogurt. |
It's just where she hadn't ate. Lilly does it too early in the mornings. Feed her and she'll be fine. :) Not sure if I'd throw anything out. |
Sounds like it could be from an empty tummy. My Roxie did that when she was younger and woke up with nothing on her tummy. Mine get an evening snack and that helps. Hope Roxy feels better soon |
I agree with the previous post, its probably just an empty tummy. I know how scary it is though, the first time Gizzie did this I rushed her to the vet and 150.00 dollars later i was given this same advice;) |
She was doing better yesterday after she ate so I'm thinking maybe it wasn an empty stomach. I usually feed her twice a day once at 6am then again at 6pm. Snack inbetween of course.... I take her food and water away at about 8pm so that she doesnt have any accidents in the middle of the night. I'm going to start training her tomorrow morning at 5:45am every morning so she can get the hang of going outside... I hope this was an empty stomach thing.. Do you all think I still should change her food? I feed her Beneful... |
