I have horrible memories of Parvo as a child, one of which was coming home from school on my 11th birthday and finding my Sheperd/St Bernard mix "Baby" gone from that dreaded disease. One of the worst sights I've ever seen in my life. Fortunately, THANK GOD, there is so much more they can do to save them now and many are more are aware of the warning signs, since time is so important. We had no clue.... Macy is in wonderful hands and I am praying she returns home to you soon, so you can give her the spoiling she deserves. She'll be in my prayers! |
Sending prayers for Macy...sounds like she's doing well. Just a side note - your story is the very reason I do not take my animals into petsmart. There is no way of knowing what germs have been brought into that store. I really cringe when I see anyone with a puppy inside there. |

My sister's vet said taking your dog to Petsmart was like letting your child play on the floor of a public bathroom. |
So sorry to hear about Macy, hope she get better soon:aimeeyork |

4 Attachment(s) Oh and here's a pick I took of Macy when taking her from emergency to the regular vet. Sorry they're just from my cell phone so they don't come in very well. I was SOOO happy to see her.:D |
Ah, what a sweet little girl. Give her a hug for me.:wub::wub::wub: |
In regards to the earlier comment that stated vets 'around here' start vaccines at 6 weeks. Sadly, that IS very accurate. However, some of us 'around here' use our brains and decide otherwise instead of just going along with the standard vet protocol and wait until pups are older to have their vaccines administered. Just because a vet will do them that early and some recommend it, doesn't mean you have to adhere to it.:) Quote:

Awwwwww i'm so glad that she's doing better and she looks so happy to be back with mommy!!!!!! Hugs and kisses to both your babies!!!!!!! xoxo :) |
I hope she will be ok, keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. |
Question? If your dog got tested for parvo and it came out negative, does that mean that the puppy will never get the virus? |
We are so glad to know she is doing better hugs and kiss from CoCo and Shawn:hug: |
