My Yorkie was cut.... HELP! So I now realize why there are professional groomers. Everyday pet owners do not always make the best groomers. So I was trimming my pup tonight and he happened to move and he got cut with the scissors. I am freaking out right now because I do not know if he will need stitches or not. It's not a large cut but it did bleed a bit. and because it is an inscision...... the skin is split a bit. I do not want it to get infected. I hope someone has encountered this before and can help me. |
sucks Yuki had huge cuts on his side when he was fixed(made me mad)not sure if it was the tape removal or the tattoo they gave him???????????????...BUT they healed fine. I just put antibotic ointment on it and put him in a onesie. If it starts to look infected then of course go to a VET. Hard not to feel bad huh? One time I knicked Yuki's tummy with some trimmers and I was so sad I threw the trimmers in the trash..I just bought them too... Melissa |
Sorry to hear about your babies cut. It should heal ok but maybe put a little antibiotic cream on it. I groom all 3 of mine and I always worry I will accidently cut one but I still prefer to do it myself than give them over to a groomer. So don't get mad at yorself it happens even to professional breeders. |

Don't let cutting your baby keep you from grooming. Use a clipper on the ears. Never a scissor. The only time I use scissors is to cut around the paw at the nail. First rinse the cut out with peroxide and then put neosporin on it. I'm sure you will be forgiven. ;) |
