strong urine smell My 3 year old yorkie's urine has been very dark amber in color and strong smelling. We have changed food recently but my 1 year old does not seem to be affected. He does not drink as much as so I just wonder if it is more concentrated? Is this one of the first signs of infection? He really does not pee pee more than normal (I don't think...what is normal?) He is litter trained and there is always urine on pee pee pad when I am away at work. The other pup holds it until I get home. Any suggestions:confused: |
I would bring him to the vets so they could run some tests on his urine. My male's urine was dark because of blood in the urine. He had bladder stones. |
do they catheterize him at the vet or just run around behind him and wait for him to squat? just curious. |

Ouch. That sounds like it might hurt:eek:. But whatever is best for my baby! |

Has he been neutered? Intact males get pretty stinky urine when they get to be a couple of years old. |
