Rosi has diarrhea? Hey guys, Our puppy Rosie is 9 weeks old and just finished her seventh day with us at her new home. She's been great but the last few nights she has been very aggressive and would run around and growl for hours. A few days ago she vomited. And she had diarrhea twice tonight or more and we aren't sure what to do. We think it may be from giving her alot of treats today since we were teaching her tricks and obediance but we are scared it may be coccidia. Should we consult a vet if she isn't better tommorow.... |
She absolutely must see a vet tomorrow. Even if the stomach upset isn't caused by anything serious, dehydration from vomiting and diarrhea in a nine week old puppy is very serious. |
Anytime a puppy is that young with vomiting and diaherria, it's always good to consult a vet. Even if it might not be anything really other than treats, small dogs that young can easily dehydrate or go into hypoglycemia. I'd take her to the vet. He'll probably run tests just for precautions, and if they don't find anything, they'll send her home with some meds and probably a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. I'll keep Rosie in my thoughts. Keep us updated! |
