Maxs teeth Hi Guys I went to the vet this weekend.. To get a check up on Max.. All is ok but Max still has 2 baby K9 in this upper month a 1 baby front tooth.. The vet said no need to pull them but I wanted to ask here.. Max is about 1 year now.. We brush his teeth 3 - 4 times per week.. How do they pull the teeth? Does he undergo anesthesia to have them pulled? |
yes they do go under anesthesia. |
But is that safe.. ?! |
It is relatively safe if the correct anesthesia is used and a good surgical protocol is followed but there is some risk whenever anesthesia is involved. If there are no signs of them coming out, they do need to be pulled. Bacteria can get trapped in between the adult and baby teeth and it can be painful to have two sets. |
Hi, my Gracie had her extra teeth removed at the same time she was spayed not removing them can cause problems, it'e quite common in small dogs Pam |
