intestine to small?? to Poop? my daughters yorkie is about 3 pounds 11 oz (9 months old) he has had trouble pooping for a long time, he has been to the vet, he said maybe intestine was to small to pass it... so after alot of internet looking and talking to vet, i feed him a lamb and rice food, plus add pumpkin,,,,,, ok so now his booty looks pretty clean, but he still cannot push the poop out, at least it is not hard like it was before, it is softer, but he still cannot get out, i have to help him.... (sounds gross) but whatever you have to do for your babies right? does anyone have suggestions... i feel bad for him, because he is such a sweet little boy, please help if you can thank you |
Have they checked him for a rectal/anal hernia or prolapse. Maybe a specialist can help. I hope the poor baby can get better |
I would get a 2nd opinion - this can't be good. In the meatime, get some 'human' oral Aloe Vera Gel. Give him aout 1/4 teaspoon daily. This is a excellent, natural laxative. Aloe Vera helps the GI track along with the whole inside of the body to help the outside  This is the kind I have: Aloe Vera Gel by Lily Of The Desert - VitaminShoppe.com Roxy gets it everyday - she has 3 'nice poops' a day ;) |
