what a frightening thing for you all to go through. I'm always nervous when a big dog comes bounding up to Molly and shes a chunky 14lbs. i kinda get myself ready to throw myself on the big dogs, just in case!! Really hope that you are all ok..xx |
Don't let this just drop. Make sure those dogs are put down. I love pit bulls, but not ones that are not trained properly. |
What a tramatic experience ! The police needed to be called too. A report would have been filed and then A follow up. the dogs who attacked were not secure and posed a danger to anyone as well as animals walking by. The owners are the ones resonsible for this incident. I hope everyone is ok and the dog with the wounds has been treated by your vet. I am very sorry. |
I thank you all for your concern:) I really appreciate it. It made me feel better about calling animal control. A guy came over from animal control and asked what had happened and checked the damage. He told us everything should be fine, and my puppy should be fine. He also said that that he was going to go the the house where the pitbull was at and warn them to keep their dog contained... So far I have passed by there, in my car, and haven't seen the dog anymore. My little puppy and my other dog are doing fine. Max's puncture wound is still healing. Everything is fine at this point. It's just the trauma that I have to get through because I'm kinda scarred to walk my dogs again, but I know its important. I just wish there was a safer way to do it.... |
Be sure that when you do walk your dogs, that they are on a short leash with a halter, this way you have better control to get the pups up and out of harms way. I hope they are all going to be fine...a bit scared, but fine. I find myself avoiding areas that are known to have unsecured dogs around. These owners should have come forward with an apology and offered help for the injured dogs. I'm glad you filed a report, they now have this attack on record...and hopefully will prevent a tragedy. |

So glad to hear that the little ones are ok! I guess you are a little scared to walk them again. If you go back out, I would definitely start carrying some pepper spray. Also maybe check out a different walk routine, ( by yourself first). Its a shame that a few bad owners ruin it for everyone. |
you need to insist with animal control.... OMG, these "oblivious" owners need to be penalized... besides, how else would you know that those dogs were vaccinated? You were scratched and your little one bitten... please dont give up. Please !!! |
What a horrible thing to happen to you. Glad the pups will be fine. |
How horrible. :( I\'m glad everyone is okay. |
