yellow morning vomit, teeth, tracheal collapse My 4yr old female yorkie has been vomiting up bright yellow foamy mucus in the mornings, not every morning. She wheezes a little immediately after. Then she eats and drinks and plays like nothing has even happened. Should I be concerned? Also, I will be making an appointment to get her teeth cleaned under general anesthesia soon. She has a history of tracheal collapse and allergic reactions to vaccinations. Any advice/info? We are new here. Thanks!:animal-pa |
It makes me wonder if her tummy is too empty (therefore, feels sick) by morning. You can try feeding her a little something *just* before bed time and see if that helps. With a Hx of tracheal collapse, I'd be very concerned about intubating her for surgery. What does the vet say about that part? |
Usually, feeding some food before bed will help a lot with the throwing up in the morning as they do tend to throw up bile if too hungry. |
My 1 1/2 yr. Chipper used to throw up a little bile in the morning. Solved it by feeding him a little before bedtime. I also have an 11 yr. old female Yorkie, Rosie, who is in the beginning stages of CT. I just spent time up at K-State Vet Hospital. Found out that surgery is available for CT. Haven't heard about it here on YT, though. Was quite excited to hear about it, though. ~Joanne~ |
Please, go to a vet to rule out any major problems. |
