What could it be? please give me some opinions. my 10 week old puppy has bloody diareaha. What could it be? I called the vet and she is going in tomarrow But she just had a appt. on Saturday and we brought in a stool sample and when I called about this they double checked the sample and said there were no worms or parasites. I'm just worried and have no idea what it could be. |
A ten-week-old pup with bloody diarrhea needs to see a vet immediately even if it means going to the ER in my opinion. It could be anything from food being changed too fast to parvo. |
Roscoe got this when I changed his food and he liked the food so much he didnt chew it as much as he did the old so little hard pellets where scratching his stuff on the way out I do agree though that puppies need special care when their health is concerned because something so small can result in dire results for these tiny babies. |
i called the vet and she is acting completely normal besides that and like i said the vet seen her saturday. we went over a few things and she just told me to bring her in first thing in the morning. i was just wondering what this could be because of her not haveing any other issues. |
Coccidia is a parasite that is difficult to detect, is often missed with just one stool sample, and it can cause bloody diarrhea. Or it could possibly be giardia, another parasite that causes the same symptoms. |
I don't know what it could be but I just wanted to wish your baby well! Hope it all goes well tomorrow. |
