Allergies or Sore Throat?? My one year old yorkie is acting like he has a sore throat and stretching his throat when he swallows like something is stuck, (nothing is). Then he breaks out into what I call a asthma fit, like he choking. I rub his throat and he calms down. This all started yesterday afternoon. He keeps swallowing. Does this sound like allergies or a sore throat? He kept doing it during the night off and on. He's eating and drinking ok. He's being very clinging too. Just wondering if there's something to give him for a sore throat to coat it?? |
Sorry I have no answer for you, just hope your baby feels better soon. I would call the vet. Please keep us posted. |
I would call the vet immediately. You can't see all the way down into the throat. Better safe than sorry. Being clingy is a sign of not feeling good. Please call the vet. |
Might be collapsing trachea. My Rosie is in the beginning stages.:( |
He needs to be seen by a vet. He may have something stuck way down his throat or he may have a collapsed trachea as 4doggiemamma suggested. Do you use a collar on him? They can damage the trachea. Collapsed Trachea in Dogs |
